Immediately Job Description The Perkiomen Valley School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered educator to serve as a Gifted Teacher at the middle school level beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. This position serves students at both Middle School East and Middle School West. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for meeting the needs of gifted learners, foster meaningful student engagement, and collaborate with staff to provide enriching learning experiences that support students' academic and social-emotional growth. Certification and/or Licensure Requirements This position requires Pennsylvania certification applicable to the Middle Level. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated knowledge of middle level learners and effective instructional practices. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of the academic, social, and emotional characteristics and needs of gifted learners. Ability to develop and implement differentiated enrichment opportunities aligned to student needs. Knowledge of gifted screening, identification, GIEP development, and compliance requirements. Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, administrators, families, and support staff. Ability to integrate technology, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving experiences into instruction. Commitment to fostering a culturally responsive and student-centered learning environment. Compensation The starting salary will be determined as outlined in the Perkiomen Valley Education Association Agreement.
