What they do
A Middle or High School Teacher teaches middle school students, usually in grades 6 - 12, in a public or private school. Teaches one subject, or a group of subjects, such as math and science; works with one class all year or teaches different classes of students throughout the day. May mentor students, coach a school team or advise a student club. May specialize in working with students learning English or students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

What You'll Do Mentoring:
Build strong, positive relationships with a small group of students.Leading:
Facilitate fun and educational activities, including Social Emotional Learning, STEM projects, and outdoor games.Teaching:
Implement a curriculum that focuses on literacy and social-emotional development.Supervising:
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during program time and on field trips.Teamwork:
Collaborate with other staff to create a positive and supportive environment.What We're Looking For Required:
High school diploma or GED At least 2,500 hours of experience working with children (after-school, camp, classroom, babysitting, or volunteer settings, etc.) Commitment to professionalism, safety, and making a difference in the lives of young people!Preferred:
Experience in after-school/OST, camp or recreational settings CPR/First Aid certification Bilingual skills (Spanish, Mandarin, etc.)Schedule & Compensation:
