In-School Developmental/Behavior Support

Hiring for Sept 2026 1 Full Time / Full Year Position at Middletown High School Seeking skilled individuals to provide one-on-one support to a child requiring behavioral and developmental supports throughout the school day.
  • MUST BE FLUENT IN AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE
  • In addition to ASL, successful applicants must have experience with significant behaviors and/or developmental disabilities.
Applicants must be familiar with working in the school setting. Staff will be expected to be with student throughout the day including lunch, recess, and specials. Salary starts at $30.00 per hour. Most of the school positions are Mon-Fri 6-7 hr/day. Shift hours are based on the school day. Depending on the contract, employee may need to work 1-2 short after school home based shifts in order to reach full time hours (35-40) to acheive benefits. Summer hours available at Aquidneck Island Day Camp or elsewhere in the agency. •
Requirements:
Bachelors degree preferred. Previous experience working with children with behaviors and minimum RBT or Associate's degree or Para-Pro Cert required. Prior to employment, successful candidate must pass BCI background check, CANTS clearance and driving record check.
