About RISE Prep Academies:
RISE Prep Academies is a college preparatory K-12 public charter school network based in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, where college preparation begins in Kindergarten. Approved by the Rhode Island Board of Education in October 2014, we opened our doors to our founding class of kindergarteners in August 2015 and our founding High School class in August of 2024. Responsibilities:
The primary role of the Lunch and Recess Lead is to oversee the safety and wellbeing of RISE Prep scholars during lunch and recess and effectively collaborate with all other lunch and recess leads to uphold high behavioral expectations. Specific roles and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following, Foster a Joyful School Community and Structured Learning Environment Establish a positive and supportive culture during critical culture moments (lunch, recess, transitions, etc.) Create and maintain clear expectations, routines, and procedures to effectively and proactively manage classroom/scholar behavior and efficiently facilitate all lunch and recess Consistently implement school-wide systems and employ behavior management techniques aligned to the school's and RISE Academies' vision Demonstrate a Commitment to Continuous Improvement and Development as a Professional Use feedback to make productive changes in performance and continuously improve effectiveness in all professional practices and job-related tasks Collaborate with other staff members and actively participate in training, professional development and learning activities to increase impact as a member of the RISE Prep lunch and recess team Communicate and Collaborate with Critical Stakeholders and Colleagues to Ensure a Well-Rounded Scholar Experience Communicate with families and teachers about scholar progress on a regular basis Work collaboratively with school leaders and teachers to align supports and ensure a positive scholar experience Support the overall school culture and climate as directed by school and district leaders
Qualifications:
Required:
Dependable and professional team member (18+); ability to be present daily every school day from 9:30am-3:00pm (Monday-Friday) Prior experience supervising children across grades K-8 or across ages 4-14 Ability to be proactive with identifying and communicating potential safety concerns Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English Technological proficiency and comfort with using online platforms Compensation $22/hour and 25 hours/week Staff are paid every other week at the rate of $1,100 per pay period Be Part of the RISE Prep Team - Apply Today!
