Job Description

Hiring for Summer Camp & Afterschool (Ages 5-12 years old) At Kidz Kare Totz, we believe in the value of the uniqueness of each child we serve. Our childcare experience is designed to promote each child's own individual, social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

Kidz Kare Totz CEC serves children ages infant
  • 12 years old to ensure that all children start school ready to reach their highest potential with engaged support from parents, caregivers, and communities.
Our mission is to provide a safe and developmentally appropriate learning environment, which fosters a child's natural desire to explore, discover, create, and become a lifelong learner.
Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool or school aged children
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
  • Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
  • Ensure the health and safety of all students at all times
  • Participate in field-trip adventures
Skills:
  • Special education: Experience working with children with special needs is a plus
  • Classroom management: Ability to create a positive and structured learning environment
  • Childhood development: Understanding of child development principles and milestones
  • Preschool experience: Previous experience working in a preschool/ school age setting is preferred
  • Childcare experience: Experience in a daycare or afterschool care setting
  • Strong communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Patience and flexibility: Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students and the classroom as a whole We offer competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.
