Job Description

Serving students across the K-12 spectrum, youll bring your expertise and passion to a dynamic educational environment located in the vibrant northern Nashville suburbs. This full-time contract role offers the chance to enrich learning for students with varying levels of hearing ability within a supportive school setting. As an integral part of a team dedicated to student growth and accessibility, you will provide tailored instruction and interventions based on individual student needs. Assignments may vary across multiple school sites, ensuring valuable variety and professional development throughout the contract.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Tennessee DOE Certification (active) Experience or interest in working within K-12 settings Thorough understanding of Deaf/Hard of Hearing education methods and technology Ability to complete fingerprinting and background checks as required Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instructional support and advocacy for DHH students Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Adapt curriculum materials to meet individual student needs Encourage a positive, inclusive, and accessible classroom environment Monitor and document student progress effectively
