After School Teacher Abiding Love Lutheran Children's Center Austin, TX Job Details Part-time $16.50 - $17.50 an hour 14 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Youth recreational activities facilitation CPR Certification Outdoor work experience High school diploma or GED First Aid Certification Working with students Experience working with 5th graders Teaching experience with young children Full Job Description Afterschool Program Teacher Summary The afterschool group teacher receives the children from the bus each afternoon, plans and leads enrichment activities, and supervises outdoors games and play. Duties Document arrival of children Plans and offers enrichment activities that the group find interesting and challenging Supervise indoor activities with materials provided Encourage and assist with homework Supervise outdoor games and play Share with the families events of the day Clean apace at closing Requirements Must have high school diploma Must have experience working with school age children (Kinder to 5th grade) Must be available EVERY weekday afternoon from 2:30pm to 5:30pm, with the exception of Austin ISD holidays. Nice To Haves Bubbly, outgoing personality. High energy level for interaction with children.
