Locations:

Cedar Hill area schools float between sites as needed. Must be able to work at any of our after-school locations.

Schedule/Hours:

Monday through

Friday:

part-time after-school position. 3:15 pm-6:30 pm (may vary slightly by location). Monday through Friday availability required.

Pay Rates:

Starting at $15 per hour (depending on years of experience and education in related field) Texas State Requirements High School Diploma/GED

18 years of age

Six months of previous experience in childcare in a group licensed childcare setting or school-type setting (will require verification). Must be verifiable

Live within the listed school district area

Fluent in English; bilingual is a plus What You'll Do Greet and check in students at the start of each session; take attendance and maintain accurate records

Plan and lead daily activities, games, and enrichment lessons appropriate for the age group you're working with

Facilitate homework time and support with academic tasks as needed

Supervise students during free play, snack time, and transitions, ensuring a safe and structured environment

Address minor conflicts or behavior issues using positive guidance techniques

Communicate with parents/guardians at pick-up and drop-off regarding their child's day

Report incidents, injuries, or safety concerns to your Program Manager or site lead promptly; log incident reports

Set up and clean up program space and materials each day

What We're Looking For At least six months of experience working with children under 13 (preferred) in a licensed childcare center or school setting

Comfortable leading groups of children in activities and games

Outstanding customer service and communication skills with both children and adults

Reliable and punctual; able to commit to a consistent part-time schedule

Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout a shift

Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

Flexibility to support additional program locations if needed Texas State Requirements High School Diploma/GED

THE RIGHT FIT FOR THIS ROLE

High school diploma or GED completed

Coursework or training in child development and/or related field is a PLUS

Communication skills; oral, written, and visual with adults and children

Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community

Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn

Ability to meet state-specific requirements; FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter, Cleared TB

18 years of age of older
