The ACE Afterschool Program Instructor supports elementary students (Kinder-5th grade) in a structured, engaging, and safe afterschool environment. Each day includes one hour of homework help, one hour of enrichment activities, and 30 minutes of snack time, along with opportunities to build positive relationships with students. On Fridays, staff help facilitate "Fun Friday," where students enjoy free time after completing homework. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about working with children, enjoy leading activities, and are committed to creating a positive and supportive afterschool experience. Responsibilities Supervise and engage Kinder-5th grade students in daily afterschool activities. Provide one hour of homework help and one hour of enrichment each day. Oversee snack time and encourage positive social interactions. Maintain a safe, structured, and fun environment. Support "Fun Friday" activities, allowing students free time after homework is completed. Communicate with site staff and families as needed. Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required (anyone can apply). Certified teachers are eligible for higher pay. Availability Monday-Friday, 3:00-6:00 pm required. Experience working with children in school, camp, or childcare settings preferred. Strong classroom management and behavior support skills. Ability to lead engaging activities and connect positively with students. Creativity, flexibility, and enthusiasm for working with children.
