Overview Join our vibrant afterschool program as a Bilingual (English-Spanish)Teacher dedicated to inspiring and nurturing young learners! In this dynamic role, you will create a positive, engaging environment that promotes childhood development, cultural awareness, and academic growth. Your energy and passion will help children thrive through innovative activities, compassionate supervision, and effective classroom management. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a supportive team environment. Duties Plan and implement engaging bilingual lessons and activities that support language development and cultural appreciation Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies to foster a respectful learning environment Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety and active participation at all times Facilitate youth group activities, camp experiences, and creative arts such as theater to promote social skills and confidence Maintain safety protocols including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and adherence to first aid procedures in case of emergencies Collaborate with team members to develop individualized support plans for children with special education needs or behavioral challenges Monitor child progress and communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's development and well-being Experience Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings is highly preferred Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors positively and effectively Knowledge of childhood development principles and experience implementing age-appropriate activities for young children Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain these certifications upon hire Experience facilitating outdoor work activities, youth group programs, or theater-based projects is a plus Strong team leadership abilities combined with excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with colleagues and families Background in special education or Christian counseling is advantageous but not required Join us in creating a joyful learning environment where children can grow academically, socially, and emotionally!
