Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate After-school Teacher to join our team! In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and grow after their school day. You will facilitate engaging activities, supervise children, and support their social and emotional development while ensuring their safety through effective behavior management and first aid protocols. Responsibilities Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Lead age-appropriate activities such as sports, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and group games to promote physical activity and social skills Assist students with homework and provide academic support as needed Manage classroom behavior using positive discipline strategies and behavior management techniques Maintain a clean, organized environment that encourages positive interaction and learning Implement safety procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response protocols Foster a caring atmosphere that supports childhood development and encourages teamwork among children Requirements Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Certification in First Aid, CPR, AED operation, and First Aid protocols (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Background in special education or experience working with children with diverse needs is a plus Ability to supervise children outdoors safely in various weather conditions Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members Previous experience in youth programs or camp settings is desirable Passion for childhood development, youth engagement, and creating a positive environment for kids Join us in making a meaningful difference in children's lives by providing a safe, fun, and enriching after-school experience!
