Duties Plan and deliver interactive STEAM lessons aligned with age-appropriate curricula to stimulate interest in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques to ensure a safe learning environment Supervise children during activities, outdoor play, snack times, and transitions to maintain safety and engagement Implement first aid protocols promptly in case of injuries or emergencies, including CPR and AED operation when necessary Foster inclusive participation by accommodating children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education support Facilitate youth group activities that promote teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity while encouraging social-emotional development Maintain accurate attendance records, activity logs, and safety documentation to ensure compliance with program standards Requirements Prior experience working with children in educational settings, camps, or youth programs is highly preferred Demonstrated classroom management skills to maintain order and promote positive behavior among young learners Knowledge of childhood development principles and experience teaching or supervising children of various ages Certification in first aid and CPR/AED from recognized organizations; ability to respond swiftly to emergencies following established protocols Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive environments is a plus Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members Ability to work outdoors and adapt to various physical environments as part of outdoor activities or excursions Team leadership qualities with the enthusiasm to motivate children and collaborate with colleagues for program success Join us as an After-School STEAM Instructor where your passion for education meets your desire to inspire the next generation.
