Elementary Christian School Teacher (Founding Faculty) Bloom Academy is seeking passionate, Christ-centered educators to join our inaugural Founding Faculty as we launch our Pilot Program in August 2026. We are looking for teachers who view education as both a calling and a ministry and are committed to helping students grow academically, spiritually, and personally in a Christ-centered learning environment. Position Elementary Christian School Teacher (Founding Faculty) Location Bloom Academy 4107 W. Mercury Blvd. Hampton, VA Schedule Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM 35 hours per week Compensation Starting at $17.00 per hour Grade Levels Teachers may be assigned to one of the following: 2nd Grade 4th Grade 6th Grade (anticipated) Responsibilities Plan and teach engaging daily lessons using the approved curriculum. Integrate biblical principles throughout all areas of instruction. Foster a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment. Encourage academic excellence, strong character, and spiritual growth. Assess student progress and maintain accurate academic records. Prepare report cards and communicate student progress with parents. Maintain classroom organization and instructional materials. Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other assigned activities. Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership. Attend faculty meetings, professional development, and school events. Model Christ-like character, integrity, and servant leadership. Minimum Qualifications Active Christian with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Lifestyle consistent with biblical values and agreement with the mission of Bloom Academy. Associate's degree or higher required. Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Passion for Christian education and mentoring children. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching in a Christian or private school. CPR and First Aid Certification (preferred). Experience teaching multiple elementary subjects.
