Duties Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times through effective child supervision and behavior management strategies Plan, organize, and facilitate age-appropriate activities including arts and crafts, outdoor play, educational games, and youth group activities that encourage creativity and teamwork Implement classroom management techniques to maintain a positive environment conducive to learning and fun Provide first aid or CPR in case of minor injuries or emergencies following established protocols Support children with special needs by adapting activities to meet individual requirements and collaborating with support staff or specialists as needed Foster social skills and emotional development through Christian counseling principles or other supportive approaches when appropriate Maintain detailed records of daily activities, attendance, incident reports, and progress notes to ensure clear communication with parents and team members Qualifications Proven experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings Strong classroom management skills combined with the ability to handle behavioral challenges effectively Valid certifications in First Aid, CPR, AED operation, and First Aid protocols; additional certifications in special education or childhood development are highly valued Demonstrated ability to lead outdoor work activities safely while engaging children in physical play and exploration Experience facilitating youth group activities or teaching youth development programs is preferred Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff effectively Background in early childhood education or related fields such as theater experience or babysitting enhances your candidacy Passion for nurturing young minds through innovative teaching methods like tutoring or working with students of diverse backgrounds Join us in shaping joyful learning experiences that empower children to grow confidently!
