Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Before and After School Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children before and after school hours. In this role, you will facilitate fun and educational activities, supervise children to ensure their safety, and support their social and emotional development. Your energy and leadership will help foster a positive community atmosphere that encourages growth, curiosity, and joy for every child in your care. Responsibilities Supervise children during before and after school periods, ensuring their safety at all times through attentive child supervision and behavior management. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, including arts and crafts, outdoor play, tutoring sessions, and youth group activities. Maintain a structured environment by managing classroom routines and establishing clear expectations for behavior. Respond promptly to emergencies by following first aid protocols, including administering CPR or using an AED when necessary. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and team members to support each child's individual needs, including those requiring special education or additional behavioral support. Facilitate outdoor work experiences and camp-style activities that encourage outdoor exploration and physical activity. Uphold all childcare standards by adhering to health and safety regulations while fostering a warm, inclusive atmosphere rooted in positive youth development principles. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings. Knowledge of childhood development theories, early childhood education practices, and behavior management techniques. Certified in first aid, CPR, and AED operation; additional certifications such as child supervision or babysitting are preferred. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to lead group activities confidently. Experience facilitating youth group activities or tutoring young children is highly valued. Ability to work outdoors comfortably in various weather conditions during outdoor activities or camp experiences. Pay:
$12.77 - $16.00 per hour
