Aug 21, 2026 Job Description Williamstown Middle High School is seeking a World Language Teacher to join our grades 6-12 school community in the heart of Central Vermont. WMHS teachers, support staff, and administrators work together to ensure every student is appreciated, connected, supported, and challenged to grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally. Our students engage in rigorous academic coursework while also learning beyond the school walls through work-based learning, dual enrollment, career education, and farm and food systems learning. The World Language Teacher at WMHS teaches our 9th-12th grade students to read, write, speak and listen in a language other than English. Also, WMHS World Language teacher plays an important role in helping students explore different cultures, develop a sense of global citizenship, and appreciate how language shapes communication and understanding. Experience teaching one or more world languages to adolescents and diverse learners is especially valued. We are especially interested in American Sign Language teachers, WMHS has had a robust program in ASL language acquisition for the last few years. WMHS is located in the scenic Green Mountains of Central Vermont, with abundant opportunities for outdoor recreation and convenient access to Montpelier, Burlington, and ski areas including Stowe and Killington.
