About us iCode Bellevue is a small business in Bellevue, WA 98008. We are collaborative, rewarding, and fun.

Flexible working hours On-the-job training Position iCode Coding Instructor Position Overview The instructor is passionate about technology and will spark a passion for learning within our students. They get to know each student, encouraging and influencing each one of them on an individual basis while innovating, collaborating, and creating technology. Education or coding experience is not necessary, but instructors will be responsible for learning the teaching material and testing the projects before teaching students. Some classes do not require any coding and some other classes only have block-based coding. The Coding Instructors is responsible for creating a fun and learning experience for students to achieve and master the various iCode programs. They deliver each instructional session while evaluating the progress of each student in the program. We will be holding classes at various partner schools throughout the week located in the Bellevue/Redmond area. Most classes will start after 3pm and go as late as 5:45pm. Own transportation is required. Key Responsibilities Teach and educate students according to the curriculum provided by iCode. Manage an orderly classroom. Provide meaningful feedback about class material and student dynamics in the classroom and in status reports to parents. Treat students equally and fairly. Qualifications Positive attitude, outgoing and excellent people skills. Dependable and flexible to work evenings and weekends. 1 year programming experience (preferred) Knowledge using Apple computers, devices, and operating systems or ability to learn. Good written and verbal communication skills. Enjoys working with students ranging from K-12. Problem-solving and analytical skills. Desire to learn about and use technology. All training is provided by iCode, no prior teaching experience is required. This is a part time weekend and evening position during the school year, but can go up to 30-40 hours per week during the summer. Our classes are at a set time each week, so we can offer a consistent weekly schedule that only changes each quarter. We are flexible around school schedules. All after school classes start after 2pm. Partnerships will gain the highest amount of hours and are given priority. We encourage college students studying early education, computer science, web design, graphic design, game development, technology, and STEM to apply. You may be eligible for internship credits for this position depending on your university and major.
