A Middle or High School Teacher teaches middle school students, usually in grades 6 - 12, in a public or private school. Teaches one subject, or a group of subjects, such as math and science; works with one class all year or teaches different classes of students throughout the day. May mentor students, coach a school team or advise a student club. May specialize in working with students learning English or students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

FT Hours:
40 hours per week: Monday-Friday (some evenings and weekend days as needed) The heart of Sequoia's Treehouse Farm School is its respect of the young child. Qualified candidates will have an Associate's degree in Education (we can assist with you acquiring a degree), Outdoor Education, Environmental Education or related field or equivalent experience, 2 or more years working with children; possess clear communication skills, verbally and in written form; and have a basic proficiency with computers. They will also have an attention to detail, effective interpersonal and problem solving skills, and be organized and able to multi-task. They will love working with children, being outdoors, utilize nature as a classroom, and understand play-based curriculum and the value of it. A willingness to study more is required.
