Job Description

Jump in-adventure starts after school! We're looking for fun-loving, dynamic people to join our school age program as After School Teachers . Hours for this position are generally 1:00 - 5:45 pm Mondays and 2:45 - 5:45 pm Tuesday through Friday. More hours are available for those interested in being an after-school bus driver. Scheduling during the school year is part-time and flexible. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone majoring in education or child-related fields! Our popular after school program provides a safe, fun, school-age friendly environment for children in the Madison area during non-school hours. This safe and fun environment exists because of our great after school team who make afternoons matter!
Who we are:
Kids Junction Preschool Learning Center has been faithfully serving families in the Madison area through daycare and education since 2004. Since we are a family-run preschool and childcare center, the children who step through our doors are like an extension of our own family. From the youngest baby on site to the most senior staff member, we treat each other the way we'd like to be treated: as valuable, creative individuals. As a faith-based daycare, we center our decisions on Christian values of love, respect, honor, integrity, kindness and grace. These values direct the way we treat each other and the way we interact with the children in our care. Partnering with Families to Build Strong Mind, Body and Christlike Character in infancy, preschool and school age.
What you would be doing:
Supervise and engage with children during activities, which include: Station time, free play, gym/outdoor time, projects, and more! Follow and lead predetermined activities and schedules, with the opportunity to add your own ideas and flare, of course! Safely escort & welcome children off buses into our building Ensure children are checked out properly as they are picked up Interact with parents and/or guardians to build and maintain relationships Work as a team to keep the after school classrooms looking great Help set up and prepare after school classrooms for the arrival of children Help serve after school snacks We're Looking for
Team Members Who:
Hold a high school diploma or equivalent Ability to satisfy all licensure required background checks as it relates to the job Demonstrate good communication skills and are skilled in remaining composed and effective in challenging situations Are currently majoring in education or other child-related fields (preferred) Have experience working with school-age children (ages 5-14) Have the ability to foster teamwork and thrive in a collaborative environment Have a desire to make a difference in children's lives Perks of the
