Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic After-school Teacher to join our educational team. This role involves supervising and engaging children in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment after school hours. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, possess strong classroom management skills, and be committed to fostering positive development through educational and recreational activities. Experience in early childhood education, childcare, or related fields is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives while supporting their academic and social growth. Responsibilities Supervise children in a safe and caring environment during after-school hours Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques Assist students with homework and tutoring as needed Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and concerns Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom setting Collaborate with other staff members to develop program activities aligned with childhood development principles Administer basic first aid when necessary and follow health and safety protocols Support children with special needs or behavioral challenges with patience and understanding Skills Strong classroom management and behavior management abilities Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare programs Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Ability to engage children through creative activities such as theater, sports coaching, or arts & crafts First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire Experience working with students who have special needs or require additional support is a plus Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in child development and education Ability to adapt activities to meet diverse learning styles and developmental levels This position is ideal for individuals passionate about nurturing young learners in a supportive environment.
