$10.00-$15.00 per hour Job Summary The School Age Teacher provides care and supervision for school-age children during after-school hours. This position helps create a safe, welcoming environment while providing opportunities for children to learn, play, socialize, and build important life skills. What You'll Do Supervise and care for school-age children in a safe and supportive environment. Plan and participate in fun, age-appropriate activities. Assist children with homework and school-related activities. Provide opportunities for indoor and outdoor play, arts and crafts, games, and other enrichment activities. Assist with snack time and daily classroom routines. Encourage positive relationships, teamwork, and appropriate peer interactions. Support children's social-emotional development and individual needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom and activity areas. Follow all Playmates policies, state licensing requirements, and health and safety procedures. Communicate with parents, caregivers, and coworkers in a professional and positive manner. Attend required staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities. Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED required. Must meet all state licensing requirements. Experience working with school-age children preferred. Caring, patient, friendly, and dependable personality. Ability to engage children in fun and meaningful activities. Ability to work well with children, families, and coworkers. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow directions, schedules, and established procedures. Ability to maintain a safe and positive environment. Basic computer skills.
