REPORTS TO
: Head Custodian, Custodial Manager or Designee
POSITION SUMMARY
Assist in monitoring students while in pool (WSI). Perform custodial duties to locker rooms and gym/pool areas.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists P/E teacher in monitoring students using pool. Issue towels and provide for their storage and laundering. Perform general mopping and sweeping, in addition to cleaning of toilets, shower areas, locker rooms, coaches' offices, pool deck, and any other gymnasium or pool areas. Lines and sets up athletic fields for games and practices; as well as set up gymnasium for games and practices.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED required. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with both staff and students. Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions. Possess the knowledge and skill to complete necessary cleaning. Skill in making simple repairs. Must understand the importance of providing a clean, healthy and safe environment. Must be able to work within difficult time constraints and under stressful conditions.
CERTIFICATION / LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

N/A SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
: Salary in accordance with Local 566,
AFL-CIO Salary Schedule:
75 of Local 566 ($37,522-$41,187). Ten-month work year; forty-hour work week.

: The Board recognized Local 566 American Federation of State, Municipal and County Employees, AFSCME as the exclusive bargaining unit for this position.
