Full Job Description Summary:
The Study Room Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations, scheduling, and overall coordination of the Study Room for the Prints, Drawings, and Photographs collection. This role combines administrative, collections-based, and public-facing responsibilities, supporting both internal staff and external researchers. Working closely with the Curator, the Coordinator ensures efficient access to the collection while maintaining the highest standards of care, organization, and visitor experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Study Room for Prints, Drawings, and Photographs Personally supervise all visits to the Study Room Coordinate and manage appointment scheduling for researchers, visitors, and staff Serve as the primary point of contact for study room inquiries Process and fulfill requests from the public and internal departments for study room access and object viewings Maintain accurate records of visits, object use, and related documentation Facilitate safe handling and presentation of works on paper in accordance with museum standards Collaborate with conservators and registrars to ensure proper storage and preservation of works on paper Monitor study room conditions to uphold conservation standards
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Art History or related field, with experience working in cultural institutions; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and multitasking skills. Experience managing complex scheduling and logistics. Command of Microsoft Office; proficiency with Momentus or similar event scheduling platform. Foreign language proficiency preferred.

Pay Range:
$20.88 - $25.05, commensurate with experience
