SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage day-to-day logistics for staff-centered Arts in Medicine programs including Music for the Soul, HHart of Medicine, Harmonizing for Health, and other pilots or initiatives Maintain program calendars, schedules, trackers, and project management tools across sites Coordinate scheduling, and communication with artists, teaching artists, and cultural partners Steward partner relationships with cultural institutions, community organizations, and healthcare partners, including contributing to MOU language drafting Support program evaluation in collaboration with the AVP and research coordinator, contributing to data collection, metric tracking, and use of validated instruments to assess program impact on staff well-being and burnout Provide coordination support for research-adjacent activities, working alongside researchers and IRB-governed study teams; prior IRB experience a strong plus Support the planning and execution of Arts in Medicine events, workshops, concerts, and special projects across the system Serve as a liaison to site-based leaders, staff ambassadors, and internal partners to ensure programming supports staff needs and operational requirements Assist the AVP, Arts in Medicine in assessing program needs, setting priorities, and contributing to strategies for department growth Contribute to other Arts in Medicine department tasks as needs arise Minimum Qualifications Specific education, training and/or experience requirements will vary depending on the complexity, type, scope, variety and level of project(s) assigned to a particular position and assignment level will correspond to the requirements of the designated project(s). 1. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a specialization or discipline consistent with project content; and 2. Four (4) years of satisfactory, full-time experience related to the objectives of the project in a health care or hospital setting; or 3. A satisfactory equivalent of education, training and/or experience. Department Preferences Genuine background as an arts in health practitioner with direct experience in healthcare or community health settings Strong program coordination and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams across a large, multi-site public health system Experience in community building and partnership stewardship, including relationship cultivation with cultural institutions, community organizations, and healthcare partners Comfort working in research-adjacent contexts, including supporting evaluation processes and working alongside researchers and IRB-governed study teams Appreciation for research and evaluation, with some experience in data collection, metric tracking, or evidence-based program assessment Awareness of social prescribing frameworks as one dimension of community-based health programming Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across clinical, arts, and administrative audiences Proficiency with project management tools, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Canva or similar design tools Experience with collection management platforms such as Artwork Archive or Bloomberg Connects preferred Ability to work collaboratively and independently with sensitivity to healthcare environments and diverse staff populations Multilingual candidates encouraged to apply, reflecting the communities served by NYC Health
