Job Description

Student Worker - Werner Gallery Coordinator Purpose/Objective of the
Role:
Fine Arts is seeking a student, art major or minor, that is motivated to promote and cultivate student art from OWU studios. This position requires working and communicating with a range of people in the OWU community: students, staff and faculty, as well as maintaining the social media. The work hours are flexible but the position may require availability during weekends. Core responsibilities of the Gallery Coordinator position:

Assist with installments of the exhibits, (there should be 2-3 exhibits per semester)Promote exhibits and Werner Gallery space to students and OWU communityMaintain the inventory of gallery supplies/tools.

Core Responsibilities of managing
Collections:
Maintain the inventory of works in the Kalb collection, and the departments Instagram account.
Skills and qualifications:
Strong organizational skillsGood time managementGood communication skillsKnowledge to operate with basic power toolsCapacity to lift and move items, (approximately30 -50 pounds weight)Familiarity with Google Cloud platform. No previous experience necessaryNeeds to be art major or minor
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Cleaning, moving materials and maintenance
Qualifications:
Prefer art major/minor
