The VU Art Gallery is seeking an Art Gallery Assistant to join our team. You will support the Director/Curator in researching artwork and artists, installing exhibitions, designing collaborative programming as well as administrative duties. You are highly organized, detail-orientated, efficient and self-motivated. You must be willing to take on projects both large and small with equal enthusiasm.Requirements:
Ability to conduct research on individual artists, movements or works of art within the Collection. Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, artists, and the Villanova community. Write and edit label copy, press releases, catalogues and wall text. Update the database in a clear and consistent way. Support the Director during gallery events. Social Media and marketing interest a plus. Broad knowledge of Art History and History a plus. Ability to work independently and take initiativeAdditional Information:
