Discusses and resolves media coverage, credentialing, and pooling issues.

Advises gallery members on Sene (and House, where applicable) operions such as scheduling, floor procedure, committee structure and jurisdiction, and parliamentary procedure.

Assists with planning, organizing, coordining, and implementing media arrangements for quadrennial presidential nomining conventions, presidential inaugurions, presidential debes, Ste of the Union addresses, and other joint sessions of Congress or special events.

Works with all Media Galleries, Doorkeepers, and Capitol Police to ensure press and others tending media events maintain a safe working environment; coordines assignments to press conferences.

Reviews membership applicions, contacts directors, editors, and publishers of new applying organizions, prepares written evaluions, and makes recommendions to the Media Gallery Director.

Desired Qualificions Familiarity with press photographer requirements to facilite and support coverage of events, hearings and press conferences. Working Conditions Sedentary. May sometimes be required to work long hours. Extended periods of standing may be required. Since this position requires onsite presence in support of the U.S. Sene when in session, this position requires the employee to be available and prepared to work during a lapse in appropriions, in inclement weher, on holidays, and during le-night, overnight, and weekend sessions.
