Associate Executive Director of Membership
Job Description
The Associate Executive Director of Membership provides visionary leadership and strategic direction for youth and community programs, ensuring excellence, innovation, and alignment with the YMCA's mission. This role manages multiple program areas and staff teams, fostering a culture of relational engagement, professional growth, and accountability. The Associate Executive Director serves as a key branch leader, collaborating with the Branch Executive Director and leadership team to drive operational success, oversee budgets, ensure compliance, and strengthen volunteer and staff development. In addition, this position plays a central role in philanthropy and community relations by leading fundraising efforts, cultivating new partnerships, and actively engaging with the Advisory Board and community stakeholders to expand the YMCA's reach and impact.
Qualifications:
Degree in related field required and 5+ years of related experience. Experienced in and passionate about creating and fostering communities and relationship building through programs. Demonstrated experience in program and personnel development. Ability to direct total operations through supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget, property and facility management, marketing and public relations, program development and volunteer development. Exceptional oral, public speaking, and written communication skills. Possess a high level of organization, ability to prioritize and possess the capacity to respond and handle multiple tasks appropriately in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. Requires a positive attitude, high level of initiative and professionalism, and enjoy working in and creating a strong team environment. Demonstrate initiative, effectively prioritize, and possess strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills. Capacity to assist in the management of facilities, equipment, and programs. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
