Job Description
Position Overview:
To provide leadership to our guest services and hospitality team and to champion our community and ministry partnerships. It is the mission of Kenbrook Bible Camp & Retreat Center to be like Christ in all relationships in order to facilitate a closer connection to God, self, others, and nature. We hope to accomplish this through intentionally caring for all who come to Kenbrook. Our guests and partners range from individuals seeking a quiet place, church groups, school groups, corporate groups, and other local ministries. We have become a resource for our local community to experience God's creation in unique ways and are excited for what God is doing in and through our ministry! Kenbrook serves over 100 guest groups throughout the year who come to experience rest and renewal in our natural setting. Our hope is that each of these groups experience uncommon hospitality that helps them to connect deeply to God, self, each other, and nature. The Director of Guest Services & Partnerships will lead us to care for our guests beyond expectations. They will work closely with our ministry partners ensuring mission alignment and excellent service.Qualifications:

- Love for and desire to work with people in a camp and retreat setting
- A heart for hospitality that demonstrates uncommon care and service
- Able to lead and collaborate on large projects/events
- Excellent interpersonal and relational skills in communication (oral and written), understanding, grace and faithfulness
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the hospitality industry, customer service, or camp/retreat ministry
- Comfortable speaking in front of small and large groups
- Able to host approximately 1x/month (weekend) and occasional weekday groups
- Work efficiently and effectively unsupervised
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Willing to relocate and reside onsite
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to guest services and the hospitality team to provide the best guest experience possible
- Oversee the food service director, housekeeping director, and retreat hosts
- Manage regular guest service operations including, but not limited to: ○ Consistent and timely communication with guest groups ○ Consistent and timely communication with staff regarding group needs ○ Ensure guest group satisfaction and retention ○ Ensure all facility spaces are prepared and set-up according to group needs and expectations ○ Maintain up to date calendar and reservation system for awareness, accountability, and evaluation ○ Collaborate across departments to maintain master calendar ensuring maximizing occupancy and efficiency ○ Meet with prospective and returning guests as necessary ○ Develop promotions and incentives that appeal to and draw new groups in consultation with the Executive Director ○ Ensure complete and proper invoicing, contracting, and follow-up of every guest group ○ Provide accurate billing information of Retreat Groups to Bookkeeper ○ Maintain an organized, accessible, and regularly updated filing system (equipment, guest groups, financial, government, etc…) ○ Hire, train and schedule weekend hosts as needed for Retreat Groups • Oversee our strategic community and ministry partnerships • Collaborate on the development and maintaining of church and para-ministry relationships • Maintain all relevant certifications • Provide trainings for summer and full-time staff (eg.
- Serve as a resource to the Youth Program Director for youth events, summer staff training, adventure programming, etc…
- Develop, manage, and oversee retreat, food, and housekeeping budgets
- Represent Kenbrook at promotional events
- Provide quarterly department reports for the Board of Directors
- Attend Board of Directors meetings as requested
- Regular attendance at a local church
