Director of Children's Ministry Prince George Winyah Church - Georgetown, SC Prince George Winyah Church is seeking a full-time Director of Children's Ministry to lead and grow a vibrant, Christ-centered ministry for children from infancy through fifth grade. This role works collaboratively with the Rector and Youth Ministry Director as part of the Family Ministries team. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with children, highly organized, relational, and able to build and equip strong volunteer teams. Key Responsibilities:

Vision & Leadership Develop and implement a clear vision for Children's Ministry in collaboration with Family Ministries clergy. Stay informed on current trends in children's ministry and culture. Safety & Compliance Maintain and oversee check-in systems, safety protocols, and ministry procedures. Ensure background checks, parental consent forms, and diocesan training requirements are completed and up-to-date. "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6 Communication Maintain clear, timely communication with parents, volunteers, and staff. Work with the Communications Minister to share information through newsletters, the website, social media, and other channels. Encourage and resource parents in their role as primary disciplers of their children. Provide pastoral care to children and families as needed. "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward." Psalm 127:3 Programming & Curriculum Plan and oversee a year-round ministry schedule in synch with the liturgical calendar, including Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, Vacation Bible School, and special events. Select and implement age-appropriate, biblically sound curriculum. Contribute children's programming to church-wide events (Missions Weekend, liturgical seasons, etc.) "And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them." Mark 10:16 Team Development Recruit, train, and support volunteers and part-time Children's Ministry staff. Build a strong leadership team that meets regularly to evaluate programs, delegate responsibilities, and encourage one another. Conduct annual performance reviews for employees and volunteers. Regularly communicates with Anglican Diocese of South Carolina to stay apprised of training opportunities for self and staff. Manage the Children's Ministry budget responsibly and strategically. "Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me," Matthew 18:5 Outreach & Engagement Welcome new families and help them connect with the ministry. Equip children, parents, and leaders to share the Gospel within their homes and community.

Required Qualifications:

• A growing relationship with Jesus Christ demonstrated through character and conduct.
• Three to five years of leadership experience in children's ministry or a related field.
• Ability to teach biblical truth clearly and engagingly in both small and large group settings.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build healthy relationships with children, parents, volunteers, and staff.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Creative problem-solver with the ability to make wise decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication skills that motivate and engage children, parents, and volunteers.
• Proficient computer skills and willingness to learn new programs (Office 365/Microsoft Teams preferred).
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends as needed. Preferred
• Bachelor's degree in child development, education, ministry, or a related field. Salary and Benefits
• Salary range of $50,000 - $65,000, commensurate with experience.
