Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide high quality private and group lessons in our retail store. In this role, you'll teach students of varying ages and abilities, develop individualized lesson plans, and prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances. You'll collaborate with store staff to support instrument rentals, sales, and repairs while promoting additional lessons. Responsibilities Provide private and small group music lessons to students of various ages and skill levels Develop individualized lesson plans aligned with student goals and school music programs Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school or community performances Assess student progress, provide feedback, and adjust instruction as needed Collaborate with store staff to support instrument rentals, sales, and repairs for students Maintain accurate scheduling, attendance, and basic lesson records Promote additional lessons, programs, and events offered by the store Create an inclusive, encouraging, and safe learning environment Communicate regularly with parents, students, and school partners Support occasional in store events, recitals, and outreach activities Required Skills Music instruction Lesson planning Classroom/lesson management Student assessment Music theory Instrumental or vocal performance Recital and audition preparation Basic retail/customer service Scheduling and recordkeeping Communication with parents and students
