Are you a passionate and engaging music teacher who loves inspiring students of all ages? Irvine School of Music is seeking enthusiastic instructors to join our growing team of educators serving hundreds of students weekly in Irvine. We are currently hiring an Advanced Level Clarinet instructor for the following existing schedule:
Existing Hours:
Tuesday:
5:30-7:30pm
Wednesday:
5:30-8pm
Thursday:
5:30-8:15pm This position includes an existing schedule of 8 Clarinet students during fixed hours across Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays starting at 5:30pm for each day , as well as the potential to expand your teaching schedule based on availability and student demand. Standard teaching hours on the weekdays are from 2pm to 9pm, and teaching days on the weekends are from 9am to 5pm. Applicants with experience teaching additional instruments are also encouraged to apply. Position Details:
Pay:
$26 - $32/hr to start, with increases based on student retention.

MON-FRI:
2-9
PM SAT/SUN:
9 AM - 5
PM Teaching Needs:
We have immediate openings and can add students to fill your schedule.
Your Responsibilities:
Teach private and/or group lessons Communicate effectively with parents and students Assign homework and prepare students for recitals Create engaging lesson plans Attend student recitals and events Participate in ongoing pedagogical training Develop students through our unique pedagogical methods
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Music (or current enrollment in a music program) Willingness to commute to Irvine Ability to pass a Federal Background Check Fluent in English Punctual and dependable Passionate about teaching and knowledgeable about reputable teaching methods Minimum 12-month commitment for non-substitute positions
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching children ages 5 and up Familiarity with both private and group classes Ability to teach Jazz and Pop styles alongside Classical Master's degree in your teaching area Interest in working with young children in our early childhood program Experience with students with learning disabilities (ADHD, ADD, Autism) Ability to teach advanced-level students
