Job Description

Job Summary Are you a dynamic, hands-on music educator who loves bringing energy, creativity, and meaning into the classroom? Do you believe music is a powerful way to connect students to their Jewish identity, holidays, and community? We're looking for a passionate Music Teacher for grades K-5 to help us build a vibrant and joyful musical culture throughout our school. Duties Design and implement comprehensive music curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating elements such as singing, instrument playing, and music theory Incorporate a variety of instruments that the children can play Lead engaging classroom lessons that motivate students to explore their musical talents and develop technical skills in areas like piano, guitar, voice, or percussion Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and inspiring learning environment Organize and supervise performances, recitals, or showcases that celebrate student achievements and build confidence Preferred but not mandatory: Teach and explore Hebrew and Jewish music , including holiday songs, tefillah (prayer), and cultural traditions Develop creative lesson plans that include activities like photography projects related to music or culinary-themed musical events to enrich the learning experience Qualifications Proven experience in teaching music Grades K-5 Familiarity with behavior management strategies and childhood development concepts to foster positive classroom environments Excellent communication skills combined with patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for inspiring others through music Join us in shaping the next generation of musicians by creating vibrant educational experiences that inspire creativity and lifelong love for music!
Pay:
From $60,000.00 per year
