BASIC FUNCTION

Develop and deliver instructional lectures for music courses up to 10 hours/week Organize and teach all levels of music classes Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning; Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses; Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester; Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired Essential Duties Summary

The successful candidate, by the final filing date, must possess the minimum qualifications stated below: Master's in music OR Bachelor's in music AND Master's in humanities OR The equivalent:

EQUIVALENCY REQUIREMENT

All applicants are required to meet the minimum qualifications specified by the Yuba Community College District (YCCD) by the application filing date. Alternatively, applicants must have obtained an equivalency determination from the District before the publication of the Recruitment Announcement. Desired/Preferred Qualifications Preference may be given to candidates with experience in teaching music at high school or college level. For sabbatical replacement in 2024-25 academic year, we especially seek candidates with choral and musical directing experiences, and/or experiences in teaching music history, voice or piano.
