Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION
Develop and deliver instructional lectures for music courses up to 10 hours/week Organize and teach all levels of music classes Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning; Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses; Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester; Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired Essential Duties SummaryREQUIRED DUTIES

The successful candidate, by the final filing date, must possess the minimum qualifications stated below: Master's in music OR Bachelor's in music AND Master's in humanities OR The equivalent:EQUIVALENCY REQUIREMENT

Alternatively, applicants must have obtained an equivalency determination from the District before the publication of the Recruitment Announcement. Desired/Preferred Qualifications Preference may be given to candidates with experience in teaching music at high school or college level. For sabbatical replacement in 2024-25 academic year, we especially seek candidates with choral and musical directing experiences, and/or experiences in teaching music history, voice or piano.Benefits
