Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Instructor to join our team at Guitarlina School of Music- a Christian institution. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong background in teaching music and instrumental performance. The ideal candidate also has experience serving in a worship band at their local church Currently or in the past. This role involves working closely with students to develop their musical skills, fostering a love for music, and potentially contributing to our worship band through playing or singing. The Music Instructor will play a vital role in nurturing young musicians and supporting their growth in a positive, faith-based environment. Duties Work directly with students to teach music theory, technique, and performance skills. Provide instruction on various musical instruments, tailored to each student's interests and skill level. Assist students in developing their instrumental proficiency through structured lessons and practice routines. Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages creativity, discipline, and musical growth. Prepare students for performances, recitals, or church events as needed. Collaborate with other staff members to integrate music education into the broader educational or worship programs. Preferably participate in the church's worship band by playing or singing during services or special events. Requirements Proven experience working with children in an educational or instructional setting. Demonstrated ability to teach music and instrumental performance effectively. Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments; ability to sing is a plus. Strong communication skills and patience when working with students of varying ages and skill levels. A genuine passion for music education and fostering a love for music among young learners. Alignment with the institution's Christian values and willingness to contribute to the faith-based community through musical involvement. Educational Requirement - At least an A.A. In music or a musical related major. - Currently pursuing a degree in music This is a paid position suitable for individuals committed to inspiring the next generation of musicians within a nurturing, faith-centered environment.

Pay:

$25.00 - $32.50 per hour
