The St. Helena Montessori School Adolescent Program (Grades 7-12) is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Choral Director to lead and grow our school choir on our beautiful 20-acre campus in Napa Valley. This is an outstanding opportunity for an educator and musician who enjoys mentoring adolescents and helping students discover the joy, discipline, and confidence that come through choral singing.

The successful candidate will:

Teach healthy vocal technique Develop music literacy and sight-reading skills Lead ensemble rehearsals Prepare students for Winter and Spring concerts Build a vibrant choral program Develop opportunities for Concert Choir and/or Honors Choir Collaborate with faculty and families We welcome applications from: School choral directors Church music directors Vocal instructors Professional musicians interested in education Montessori training is not required .

Qualifications Preferred:

Experience directing choirs or vocal ensembles Strong piano skills (if applicable—only include if you want this) Knowledge of vocal pedagogy Experience working with middle or high school students Excellent communication skills

Pay:

$45.00 - $70.00 per hour
