Job Description
Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide private and group lessons in our retail studio. In this part-time role, you'll teach students of all ages, create engaging lesson plans, and help them prepare for school programs, performances, and auditions. You'll collaborate with store and school service teams to recommend instruments, rentals, and accessories that support student growth. Ideal candidates have strong performance skills, prior teaching experience, and a student-focused mindset. Responsibilities Provide private and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels Develop lesson plans aligned with student goals, school programs, and store offerings Prepare students for performances, auditions, and school band/orchestra participation Recommend appropriate instruments, accessories, and learning materials to students and parents Collaborate with store sales and school services teams to support education initiatives Maintain accurate student progress notes, schedules, and attendance records Set up and maintain a clean, safe, and engaging teaching studio environment Participate in store events, recitals, and community outreach programs Support retention by delivering high-quality, student-focused instruction Adhere to company policies, scheduling expectations, and service standards Required Skills Music instruction Lesson planning Classroom management Student assessment Instrument proficiency Music theory knowledge Performance preparation Customer service Basic sales and product recommendation Scheduling and time management
