Job Description
Music Lead Teacher:
Qualifications:
Must be certified in Music (PreK-12) and have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience in the Stratford Public Schools Preference for a candidate who is trained as a TEAM mentor Oversee the inventory of music library Oversee the inventory of musical instruments Oversee the inventory of musical equipment Assist with the maintenance and replacement of instruments, music texts, and equipment Assist with the coordination of district performance calendar Assist with the facilitation of meetings, including planning agendas Attend some evening concerts/events Attend occasional out of district professional development and/or meetings Assist with the continuous improvement of teaching and learning in the Music Department Assist with the induction of new teachers throughout their first year of employment Assist with the annual budget preparation of the Music Department Assist with the creation and implementation of curriculum and assessments aligned to mastery-based learning Assist Department Head for Fine Arts and Music in the planning and implementation of district initiatives, professional learning, and PLCsBenefits
