The Stratford School District has the following Special Education Teaching position: Orchestra and General Music Teacher Wooster Middle School The Stratford Public Schools has an opening for a dynamic and innovative Orchestra and General Music Teacher at Wooster Middle School. The selected candidate will direct the orchestra program and teach general music classes.
We are seeking a:
Dynamic Music Educator with a demonstrated commitment to fostering intellectual curiosity, artistic creativity, and high standards of musical excellence in diverse student populations. Innovative and Evolving Educator proficient in the integration of differentiated instruction and educational technology to optimize student engagement and learning outcomes. Accomplished Musician and Ensemble Director dedicated to developing cohesive ensemble culture, facilitating technical and artistic growth, and delivering high-caliber performances. Culturally Responsive Practitioner dedicated to cultivating inclusive, affirming, and equitable learning environments that reflect and respect the diverse identities and experiences of all students. Primary Responsibilities Implement standards-aligned curriculum in both ensemble and general music settings, utilizing formative and summative assessments to inform instruction. Facilitate authentic, student-centered music-making experiences that promote artistic expression, critical thinking, and collaborative musicianship. Engage students in exploring the sociocultural relevance of music through interdisciplinary connections and inquiry-based learning. Coordinate and participate in public performances, school-wide events, and community engagement initiatives that highlight student achievement and foster a culture of musical excellence. Connecticut endorsement in Music 049 required.
