Part-Time Elementary Music Substitute Woodbridge School District - 4.4 Woodbridge, CT Job Details Part-time $130 a day 1 day ago Qualifications Elementary school teaching experience Experience working with elementary school students Full Job Description SUMMARY The Woodbridge School District is a one facility PreK-6 elementary school employing approximately 170 staff members to serve and educate approximately 860 students. A caring, creative community, Beecher Road School models and inspires the joy of lifelong learning, embraces diversity, and celebrates the unique qualities of each person. Woodbridge is one of Connecticut's premier towns, and Beecher Road School is the heart of the town. The District has a part-time (.50 FTE), substitute music position (daily 11:30 AM - 3:15 PM) available through December 23, 2026.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Promotes student engagement, independence, and interdependence in learning and facilitates a positive learning community Plans and implements instruction to engage students in rigorous and relevant learning and to promote their curiosity about the world at large Maximizes support for student learning by developing and demonstrating professionalism, collaboration, and leadership
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Required:
Background, interest, and/or expertise in music education at the elementary level Hold or be eligible for State of Connecticut Certification as a music educator (049 certification acceptable)
Preferred:
Background, interest, and/or expertise in instrumental music education at the elementary level
SALARY AND BENEFITS
This position is a part-time, substitute position (.50 FTE 11:30 AM - 3:15 PM daily) through December 23, 2026. Salary is $130 per day. Interested individuals may contact the Office of the Superintendent for additional information.
