You will play a critical role in developing scholars' mathematical thinking, problem-solving skills, and confidence—preparing them to succeed in college, careers, and an increasingly data-driven world. DPA teachers believe deeply that all scholars can achieve at the highest levels. As a High School Music Teacher, you will bring this belief to life by delivering rigorous, engaging instruction that builds our students' love for music and the arts Our model is intentionally designed for impact. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across content areas to ensure scholars receive coherent, aligned, and personalized support—both academically and developmentally. What You'll Do Our high school teachers are results-driven and relentlessly focused on improving outcomes for scholars—academically and beyond.
You will:
Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned math instruction that emphasizes conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and real-world application Drive measurable academic gains by analyzing scholar work and data, then implementing high-impact instructional strategies Build strong, authentic relationships with scholars and families to foster investment in both culture and achievement Design and implement assessments that accurately measure progress toward mastery of standards Continuously refine your practice using data to adjust instruction and close learning gaps Collaborate with grade-level and content teams to align instruction, share best practices, and improve outcomes Contribute to a high-performing team through curriculum development, planning, and school-wide initiatives Serve as an advisor , mentoring a small group of scholars and supporting their academic and personal growth Who You Are A strong music educator with at least 2 years of teaching experience , ideally in an urban public or charter school setting A believer in high expectations and equitable outcomes for all students A data-driven practitioner who uses evidence to improve instruction and drive results A relationship-builder who connects authentically with scholars, families, and colleagues A team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, and mission-driven environment A professional with strong judgment, integrity, and a deep commitment to DPA's missionEducation Requirements:
