We provide high-quality, personalized piano instruction for children, teens, and adults in a warm, supportive, and thoughtfully structured learning environment. Our studio values musical growth, student confidence, healthy technique, artistic expression, and meaningful communication with families. We are not a large music school model. We are looking for a teacher who appreciates a more personal, boutique-style approach to piano education. We are seeking a part-time piano teacher to work with students in the NE DC / Brookland area. Teaching hours will most likely be during weekday after-school hours, generally between 4:00 and 7:00 PM. This position is ideal for a teacher who is professional, dependable, musically strong, and passionate about helping students develop both skill and a lifelong connection to music. Teach private piano lessons to students of varying ages and levels Create a positive, supportive, and structured learning environment Help students build healthy technique, musical understanding, and confidence Communicate professionally with studio families Prepare students for studio recitals and other performance opportunities when appropriate Represent the values and quality of Holistic Piano Coaching Qualifications Strong piano background Degree in piano performance, piano pedagogy, music education, or a related music field preferred At least 5 years of piano teaching experience Experience teaching children, teens, and adults Comfortable helping students advance through levels Warm, patient, and encouraging teaching style Reliable, organized, and professional Strong communication skills with both students and parents Experience preparing students for recitals, festivals, exams, or auditions preferred Familiarity with ABRSM, RCM, or similar programs is a plus Interest in student-centered, holistic music education
Compensation:
$60-$80 per teaching hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule:
This is a part-time independent contractor position. Weekday after-school availability is preferred, especially between 4:00 and 7:00 PM. Exact schedule will be discussed based on student needs and teacher availability. How to
