Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Violin Instructor to join our music education team, specializing in private classical violin lessons for students of varying ages and skill levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in classical violin technique, performance, and pedagogy, with a commitment to fostering a positive, supportive, and structured learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality private violin instruction with a focus on classical technique and repertoire. Develop customized lesson plans to support each student's individual goals, level, and learning style. Prepare students for performances, recitals, and/or auditions as needed. Track student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents. Maintain a professional, punctual, and organized teaching schedule. Create a positive, encouraging, and disciplined studio atmosphere. Collaborate with studio staff and participate in studio-wide events, such as recitals or workshops.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in classical violin performance and technique. Bachelor's degree in Music (Violin Performance, Music Education, or equivalent experience preferred). Prior teaching experience (private or group lessons). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable transportation and availability during agreed-upon lesson times. Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching music.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience preparing students for ABRSM, RCM, or similar exams (optional). Ability to work with young children as well as older beginners or advanced students. Flexibility to teach in-person and/or virtually if needed.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate based on experience. Opportunities for growth and additional teaching hours available.
