Job Description

This position requires the instructor to be bilingual (English/Spanish). For over 116 years, Residing Hope, formerly the Florida United Methodist Children's Home, has provided a place where love, hope and care transformed the lives of children and families in need. In 1908 the Florida Methodist Orphanage was established in Enterprise, Florida. We are now a diverse ministry that includes therapeutic residential care, foster care, independent living assistance, Montessori education for the community, and counseling services in multiple counties.

Job Description:
Music Teacher/Instructor will prepare and implement a teaching plan. The plan will be fundamental to providing knowledge and instruction while also helping students develop their love of music.
Independent Contractor Duties & Responsibilities:
The Music Teacher/Instructor will work 4-5 hours per week, flexible schedule Provide music instruction (guitar, basic piano, drums, cymbals and/or other percussion instruments) to students between the ages of 12
  • 17 Present lesson in a comprehensive manner Create a positive and engaging learning environment Teach proper technique
Qualifications Required:
Strong music background Minimum of 1 year working with youth
Proof of Immunizations:
2 doses
  • Varicella 2 doses
  • MMR 1 dose
  • Tdap within the past 10 years 1 dose
  • Influenza during flu season, (August/September through June) Yearly requirement of Influenza and TB testing Valid driver license with a clean driving record, required.
Ability to pass an extensive background screening process
Pay Rate:
$30 per hour
