Benefits:
Professional development assistance Application Question(s): How many years of teaching experience do you have? What is the highest level of education you have completed? How many years of private lesson have you taken? This position would require you to drive to students' homes for in person lessons. Do you have a reliable vehicle? Please list and describe all the instruments you have studied and can teach. You may describe the level which you feel comfortable teaching that instrument.
For example:
Piano, Guitar, Voice (beginner) What is your current availability for teaching? (For example, Mondays 10am-4pm, Tuesdays, etc) Most of our students are piano students. If your primary instrument is not piano but have had classes or lessons in piano yourself as a student, would you be comfortable teaching beginner level piano to young children? (We can provide additional training for this as long as you have had some experience learning piano before) Which area of Gainesville, Florida and its surrounding areas do you live in ? (We don't currently consider teachers who live outside of this area, as the commute isn't ideal in a driving job) Describe something you've taught a child who was struggling to understand it. How did you explain it differently? A 7-year-old student becomes frustrated and wants to quit in the middle of a lesson. How would you respond and pivot the energy in the room so the student can have a positive experience?
