We are especially looking for Piano teachers , but teachers of guitar, drums, and other instruments are also encouraged to apply. We provide in-home music lessons, and our team handles scheduling, family communication, and administrative work so you can focus on what you love—teaching music! We have openings for teachers with availability during weekday morning, afternoon, and evening hours. Hours are flexible based on your availability and the total number of hours you would like to teach. Job Type Part-time Hours are flexible based on your availability and desired workload. Start Date 2026 Fall Semester (September Start) or 2027 Spring Semester (January Start) Compensation $26.50-$32.00 per teaching hour, plus $14.00/hour for driving time between lessons and paid training at $14.00/hour . Work Location On the road — providing in-home music lessons throughout the Gainesville area. How many years of private lesson have you taken? This position would require you to drive to students' homes for in person lessons. Do you have a reliable vehicle? Piano, Guitar, Voice (beginner) What is your current availability for teaching? (For example, Mondays 10am-4pm, Tuesdays, etc) Most of our students are piano students. If your primary instrument is not piano but have had classes or lessons in piano yourself as a student, would you be comfortable teaching beginner level piano to young children? (We can provide additional training for this as long as you have had some experience learning piano before) Which area of Gainesville, Florida and its surrounding areas do you live in ? (We don't currently consider teachers who live outside of this area, as the commute isn't ideal in a driving job) Describe something you've taught a child who was struggling to understand it. How did you explain it differently? A 7-year-old student becomes frustrated and wants to quit in the middle of a lesson. How would you respond and pivot the energy in the room so the student can have a positive experience?
