Job Description

South Florida Conservatory of Music is a community music school in Hollywood, FL, where kids, teens, and adults come to actually learn their instrument, not just show up for a lesson. We are growing our faculty and looking for a warm, dependable guitar and/or voice teacher to take on lessons this fall. Saturday guitar availability is an immediate need, and weekday afternoons fill fast. If you love teaching young musicians and want a studio that keeps your schedule full, we would like to meet you. What you'll do
  • Teach private, in-person guitar and/or voice lessons to students ranging from young beginners to teens, with some adult learners
  • Build steady, trusting relationships with students and their families
  • Prepare students for recitals and help them reach real, visible milestones
  • Keep simple lesson notes so families and the front desk stay in the loop
  • Show up reliably, on time, ready for each student on your roster What we're looking for
  • Experience teaching music to children (private or classroom)
  • Strong ability on guitar and/or voice; teachers who also cover piano, violin, or drums are a real plus
  • Reliability and follow-through, week after week
  • Saturday and/or weekday afternoon availability (Saturday guitar is an immediate need)
