Job Description

ADVANCED
Vocal and Piano Teacher, Wynwood School of Music is an after-school and weekend music program in the heart of Miami's art district led by music education giants and professional musicians, Sammy Gonzalez and Zach Larmer. WSM is searching for music teachers to join our team and teach one on one private lessons. Lessons are paid $30 per hour. A strong candidate will possess the following qualities: Values Timeliness Professionalism Empathy Patience Passion for Music Education Positive Attitude Coachable Skills Classroom management Basic proficiency across multiple instruments Strong music theory knowledge Self-motivation Strong and frequent communication Leadership skills to mentor and inspire young students Education (Preferred) Bachelor's degree or higher in Music Performance/Music Education Your job will include the following: Teach one on one music lessons. Lessons are structured around Technique, Music Literacy, and Repertoire. Gather music resources (repertoire, exercises) and help us build out our music resources for students and other teachers. Provide student feedback and lesson notes after each lesson. Prepare students for local and state competitions. Prepare students to perform in at least one concert/recital per semester.
