Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Dance and Music Teacher to inspire students of all ages through the arts. In this role, you will design engaging curricula that foster creativity, technical skill, and confidence in dance and music. You will create a positive learning environment that encourages artistic expression, supports childhood development, and nurtures a love for the performing and visual arts. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels Teach dance styles such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, and other genres, emphasizing proper technique and artistic expression Instruct students in music fundamentals, including singing, playing musical instruments, and understanding musical theory Lead choreography sessions for performances, recitals, or class projects to enhance students' coordination and stage presence Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies Foster a supportive environment that promotes childhood development, creativity, and teamwork among students Incorporate visual arts activities like photography or sewing into lessons to broaden artistic exposure and skills Collaborate with colleagues to organize student showcases, performances, or exhibitions that highlight their progress and talents Requirements Proven experience working with children in educational or extracurricular settings, especially in youth programs teaching arts Strong background in teaching dance instruction across various styles such as ballet and dancing techniques Experience developing curricula for creative arts instruction including choreography, theater experience, or teaching instrumental performance Knowledge of classroom management techniques suitable for preschool through adolescent learners Ability to teach music fundamentals along with experience working with musical instruments or singing techniques Familiarity with childhood development principles to support age-appropriate learning activities Skills in visual arts such as photography or sewing are considered a plus for integrated arts education Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students of different backgrounds and skill levels Join us to make a meaningful impact by inspiring creativity through dance and music!
