REPORTS TO
Assistant Director of Operations Director of Braselton Christian Academy
POSITION PURPOSE
Braselton Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated Music Instructor to lead the school's Chorus, Voice, and Piano instruction program for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade . The Music Instructor will provide structured music education that develops students' vocal ability, musical literacy, and appreciation for the performing arts. The instructor will design engaging music lessons, lead student choir rehearsals, and assist in preparing students for school performances and special events. This position supports the academy's mission to provide a well-rounded education that includes artistic expression, creativity, and performance opportunities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESMusic Instruction The Music Instructor will: Teach chorus, voice, and piano fundamentals to students in grades K-12 Develop lesson plans appropriate for varying age groups and skill levels Teach music basics including rhythm, pitch, vocal technique, and music reading Introduce piano fundamentals and keyboard skills to students Encourage student creativity, confidence, and musical development Choir and Performance The instructor will: Direct the school chorus program Lead regular choir rehearsals Prepare students for school performances, concerts, and special programs Coordinate music for school events, ceremonies, and assemblies Lesson Planning and Curriculum The Music Instructor will: Develop structured music lessons that align with the academy's educational goals Integrate music theory, vocal practice, and piano instruction Adapt lessons for beginners through advanced learners Encourage participation and appreciation for music across all grade levels Student Engagement and Development The instructor will: Create a positive and encouraging learning environment Support students in developing musical confidence and performance skills Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback School Collaboration The Music Instructor will: Work with administration and faculty to support school programs and events Assist with chapel music, assemblies, and student showcases when needed Participate in staff meetings and school initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should possess: Strong proficiency in voice and piano instruction Ability to lead and direct a chorus or choir program Experience working with children and youth across multiple grade levels Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to develop engaging lesson plans for K-12 students Music education training or related experience is preferred but not required.

SCHEDULE
Contracted Position Approximately 30 hours per week
COMPENSATION
Salary up to $34,000 annually , based on experience and qualifications. Braselton Christian Academy is a private educational institution and does not follow state teacher salary schedules.
